I love this so much! Such an important devotional! It’s just beautiful... touching and well written! The main is on understanding and developing a personal relationship with God. To me that is the most important part of being a Christian, it is the most important building block. This author carefully and thought shows verses to help you understand the importance of a true relationship with God, She always shows you the reward of such a relationship, and how God wants that for us, i would recommend this to anyone ... no matter how long you have been a Christian. Everytime I pick up one of Jennifer's studies, I find myself drawing closer to the Lord with each page. She has a such a gift in making you hungry for the Word and what God has prepared for those that seek after his righteousness.With Inside Out and Upside Down, Ms. Yates shares the blessings in developing a relationship with God versus a religion. She spells out the truth that as Christian we must walk daily with the Lord in order to receive all that He has promised us. The power that we find in studying His word, knowing God personally and making Him known is a message that one can hear her heart crying out for us to accept as she encourages each of us to study the scriptures for ourselves.Thank you for a study that once again is calling us into the deep, compelling us to look into the heart of God and be forever changed from the Inside Out and Upside Down.

Yates' devotional study is well written. It is written with the intent of helping one draw closer to Christ. The daily devotionals also are soundly based upon scripture and the student does not have to take the author's word for anything, as she has written the study in a manner that the student has to search the Scriptures for themselves.The study also will help develop skill in prayer as many of the devotionals ask the student to write out their prayer to the Lord. In this manner, a new Christian and even the not so new, will be able to see their prayers and track those that God has answered.As a pastor, I highly recommend this not just for the individual, but also for the various ladies groups that may be in the church. This book will help facilitate small group Bible study, and would be a good starter book to begin such a study.

After having read Yates’s “Let’s Run” Bible study, I knew I would love her newest study. I was not mistaken! I love that this is so much more than a devotion. You truly dig into scriptures each day of this seven-week study. Yates makes connections from the Old Testament to the New Testament, opening readers’ eyes to truths they may have never seen before. She also relates the scriptures to modern times, sharing with readers practical tips for becoming closer to Christ. If you’ve ever wondered where your passion for Christ has gone and felt that you’re just going through the motions of being a Christian, this study is for you! I would recommend this Bible study to anyone who wants a closer walk with the Lord.

In the Bible study Inside out and Upside down Yates does a wonderful job explaining what the difference is in just being a religious person verses a person with a real relationship with the Lord. In the very first few pages she describes a woman who is missing what all the other women in church seem to have, happiness and enthusiasm, she’s describing the woman I use to be. This study will take you on a journey using Yate’s testimony and the word showing you how to achieve a relationship with the Lord. Did you know he wants that more than anything? He wants a personal relationship with all of us. Take the first step in developing that relationship by completing this bible study, I promise you will be better for it!

I love the transparency that Jennifer portrays in Inside Out and Upside Down. She openly discusses the life that she once lived as a lost soul that did not desire to draw closer to the Father. She takes us from that point to a later period of time where she has overcome that lost desire and has come to realize that we all yearn for a personal relationship with Him. After all, it's what we were created for. I can definitely relate to this. This book is inspiring to say the least. She shines a light on the difference between relationship and religion, which can sometimes be a touchy subject for some. We were designed for so much more than we can understand alone.. which is one of the many reasons why our relationship with God is so extremely important. He knows what His plans are for our lives.. and without that personal connection with Him, we'll never come to realize what that purpose is. Can't wait to read more..-Tasha Grant

Too often, believers stop short of reaching the deep and intimate relationship that Christ offers and wants. The pages in this wonderful book are a roadmap to help us get to that sweet place in Christ! I loved the daily reading that encourages you to spend time with God every day. It was not so much work that it was overwhelming, but it was enough to ensure the journey to a deeper relationship was accomplished.
